Mixed Media Monday: Romance!!

Here is my entry for the challenge this week at Mixed Media Monday!!..The theme is "Romance"..I made two heart collages..I used text from an old book to add the words "Will you marry me?" on the first heart, and on the second heart, I added the young ladies response: "yes"!!..The images are from Digital Collage Sheets!!

Art Creations Friday: 11th Challenge!!

This is my entry for the Art Creations Friday challenge!!...This actually is last Friday's challenge, but I did not get time to finish it and post...The challenge was to use this lovely lady in your artwork...When first I looked at her I thought she looked like one of those ladies from a Vineyard in France that squashed the grapes with her feet to make wine..hence the background of a Vineyard!!..Thanks so much for looking..Now I'm off to work to the challenge for today!!

Art Creations Friday: 10th Challenge!!

This is my first time participating in the Art Creations Friday challenge!!...The challenge this week was to use this beautiful picture of a young girl in your artwork!!
I chose to make an ATC and entitled it "love has no bounds", because I envision her sadly awaiting that special person in her life who recently traveled far away...and she is impatiently waiting their safe return!!

Mixed Media Monday: Lunar/Moon!!

Here is my entry for this weeks Mixed Media Monday challenge!!..I chose to make an ATC with a sweet child sitting on a moon..I gave her sparkly fairy wings and sprinkled gold and silver moon dust around the outside of the card..I also added a sparkly moon in the upper corner...All images are from Lisa's Altered Art!!

Make a moo or two: Angels!!

The challenge this week at Make a moo or two was "Angels"..For my entry I chose to make two cards of my Mom..She is my "Angel"..She passed away two years ago, on January 14th, 2007 at the young age of 62...This is the first time that I have been able to make something like this with pictures of my Mom, as I am still having a very tough time with losing her..But I did enjoy going through her old scrapbooks, and I choose two pictures of her when she was growing up...The photo on the left is from 1958 and the second photo is from 1955...This challenge came at a perfect time for me, and I am hoping that doing more art with photos of my Mother will help me heal.
